Wrocław
Jewish population in 1933: ca. 20,000.

The film was shown at the historic Edith Stein House in Wrocław (formerly Breslau), a city with strong historical significance as one of the centres of Jewish cultural life until the war. The event was organised by the Depot History Centre in cooperation with the OP ENHEIM Foundation.
I would personally like to thank Marek Kosendiak and Karolina Jara, who held the discussion with me after the screening and the hospitality of Edith Stein Society (a special thank to Anna Siemiencec). I am grateful to Marta Pisarek for her invaluable contribution.
Rzeszów
Jewish population in 1933: ca. 18,000.
Jewish population currently: none officially .
The screening in Rzeszów was particularly special as it was the first time I had been invited to my mother's birth city. It took place at Kino Zorza. Marta Pisarek organised the event and acted as the Q&A interpreter. The Rajsche Association made this successful event possible; its mission is to promote the city's Jewish history and heritage. Special thanks go to its president, Grażyna Bochenko, and its board members: Paweł Batory, Barbara Pawlikowska, and to Anna Stiruń-Pawłowska. The city of Rzeszów kindly financed the screening. Special thanks also go to Krystyna Stachowska, Deputy Mayor, and to Katarzyna Litwory-Mazur and Agnieszka Kielar from the Department of Culture and National Heritage of the City of Rzeszów.
