A jump from
the bathroom
to the big screen
A phase of the work - organising the sequence of scenes on a bathroom wall, in one of the many places I have lived over the 10 years of the project.
The editing process of my film took about seven years, during which I undertook extensive revision and fine-tuning. I would spend weeks editing scenes, then rethinking their order, then taking long breaks from the material to assess what I was seeing.
Working alone, with no co-director, editor or financial support, I had to contend with my own perfectionism while having all the time in the world to invest all the years and energy the film needed.
